On Sunday Ps Andre spoke about What is Next?
Key verses taken from Matt 14:22-33, Mark 6:45-52, John 6:16-20 Jesus walks on water.
Before Jesus walked on water, he feed the 5,000, then he sent his disciples down to the lake while he went up the mountain to pray. When it was dark, the wind come up and the disciples were being rocked around in the boat. Jesus could see this from the mountain top.
Jesus is watching and praying for you during the storms in your life.
Just before dawn Jesus went out to the disciples walking on water. They thought it to be a ghost, and were terrified. He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea. Job 9:8
Don’t take the present storm as an indicator of the lack of Jesus.
What is the miracle pointing to?
- Jesus is God – lives are changed forever.
- Jesus came near – He is not a God up on a hill. The storm is still there, in life, but Jesus is there too.
- He has authority over circumstances as a man.
Jesus spoke to the disciples, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Matt 14:27
Then Peter, being Peter said, “Lord, if it is you, tell me to come to you on the water.” Matt 14:28. Peter is a green light type of guy, we all should be like Peter. He was willing to go where Jesus was.
If Jesus commands us to come, and we obey a miracle can happen.
Often the miraculous doesn’t happen inside the boat.
It’s a step of faith, to see something new.
What’s your boat?
What’s your storm?
God has a new revelation for everyone. He is calling us forward.
