Heavy Load – Insecurity

Heavy Load – Insecurity

Lyndon spoke about Insecurity.

We can’t limit God, but we can limit how much God uses us…when we go NOT ME!  Choose someone else.  It’s spiritual insecurity.

I absolutely believe that next to the destroying power of Sin, the second major block between us and what God has for us is the existence of insecurity, unacknowledged misunderstood dominating destructive insecurity.  This is why we have no option but to insure insecurity is disempowered.

Taken from Isolated insecurity by Paul Delong

We need to disempower that insecurity.

God uses us regardless of our insecurity.  We are in good company…

  • Abraham introduced his wife as his sister – Gen 12:10-20
  • Jacob sent the animals before him when returning to his brother Esau – Gen 32
  • Elijah hid in a cave to hide from Jezebel after God worked a miracle through him – 1 Kings 19
  • Moses killed an Egyptian, which was seen, so he ran – Exodus 2:11 – 25

Insecurity can come in a moment.

When you have not got the fathers blessing, you know something is missing so you seek it, because without it you feel unworthy.

There are Times of Blessing in our lives: Conception, Birth, Puberty, 21st, Marriage, Birth of grand children.

We can be secure in God the Father.

What is God asking of you?

What are you prepared to give up? To do?

What is your objection?

Why not?  Not me?

Moses most likely lived in fear for 40 years that Pharaoh would find him.  Then one day God turned up in the Burning Bush – Exodus 3.  God had a job for Moses, to return to Egypt and bring the people out.

But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:11

Moses’ insecurity came out in I, I, I.  When it’s all about ourselves, that’s where the insecurity comes from.

Then the excuses come…

Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, “The Lord did not appear to you?” Exodus 4:1

Moses said to the Lord, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant.  I am slow of speech and tongue.”  Exodus 4:10

Insecurity comes from deep within us.

But Moses said, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it.”  Exodus 4:13

Isolate insecurity before it isolates you.  Recognise it and challenge it.

Sin & insecurity are major blockages.

God wants all of us to take a step forward, to step into something.
