Generous Kingdom – Pt1

Generous Kingdom – Pt1

Ps Andre spoke about Generous Kingdom.

We change our environment when we become like Jesus.

How?  The Key is to choose generosity!

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father to the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.  James 1:17

God is a generous God.

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, in moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? Psalm 8:3 & 4

God gives freely.

Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you  Duet 16:17

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

But seek first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Matt 6:33

We are valuable to God.

Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than they?  Matt 6:26

To have air and a home are an overflow of blessing.

God shows His love.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

God is generous and because of this we must be generous.

If you want to see your friends/workplace meet Jesus, you need to be generous.

Jesus tells of a widows offering in Mark 12:41-44.  She gave out of her poverty – all she had to live on.  We are called to give more than our overflow.

True, extravagant generosity is when your left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing.  Prov 21:26

Generosity is LOVE in Action

Praise – Lift people up.  Don’t fake it, be real about your praise
Energy – Phone or meals etc
Time – Find time for people
Talent – How do you give your talent to other people?

What we think we are and what we are may not be the same thing.  So ask someone, am I generous with my Praise? Energy? Time? Talent?
