This week Lyndon spoke on the second part of the Difference Maker series – The Son.
Matt 1:20 An angel appears to Joseph to put him at peace about the coming Son. Jesus was sent at the perfect time. When Jesus arrived Spiritual Leadership had sinful Kings ruling, the Church leaders were proud and ruled it over the people (until Jesus showed them up), and there was a Spiritual hunger/dryness (hence the crowds followed Jesus). Jesus showed how to be a Difference Maker, He changed the lives of many including: The adulterous woman who was to be stoned, Zacchaeus the tax collector, Bartimaeus the blind man, the woman who bled for 12 years, and the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus the Difference Maker touched their lives.
- Jesus was the ignition point. From the cross, a spark was started to a fire that has not gone out. When Paul tried to put the Christians out, he ended up spreading the word further.
- Jesus was in the prime of His life. He was the one with most impact, he was perfect.
- Jesus had a short ministry time. He only needed 3 years.
Jesus was never going to save the world. Romans says that while we were still sinners Jesus died for us. Jesus had to die so that He would bear much fruit. John 12:32 says, “But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.” It’s our job to save the world. We have to do our part with God. When you think about it Jesus only ministered to a region.
Get hold of the reality that “I am (you are) a Difference Maker.” We need to believe what God has said about us.
