Connecting with Others

Warren spoke about Connecting to Others.  The key word to connecting to others is LOVE.  We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 4 main Greek words for love being: Storge – love for family Eros – sexual love, love for my spouse Phileo – love for friends Agape – Love of God.  A love that does not seek to own.  God loves us good or bad.  When loving like God, it is pure worship. “A new command I give you: love one another.  As…

Loving through Proverbs – Pt3

Walk in the Light

Ephesians – 5

We need to be open and honest without judging. You can not fix a problem without acknowledging it exists. Honesty and truth open the door to redemption and life. Search out God’s job for you. Thank God for everything, even the little things and our lives will be changed. Submit yourselves to one another out of reverence for Christ – Eph5:21. In other words treat everyone as you would treat Jesus.

A Difference Maker – The Holy Spirit

Warren spoke on The Holy Spirit as a Difference Maker.  The Holy Spirit is God in US.  When we are Baptised, it is a declaration of a promise of repentance and prayer for the Holy Spirit to enter.  We don’t just get a little dip in the water, but a full soaking, completely immersed in it.  The same for the Holy Spirit; we need to daily ask for the Holy Spirit to give a us a full soaking, completely be immersed by His presence. John…

Join the Movement

Warren spoke on Join the Movement.  It’s about sharing the journey, about being in power and strength together with the Lord. Leaders share the journey, whether we are the leader of our family, church or even the nation, to lead is to share the journey.  We learn leadership by following.  We go to church to follow Christ and learn, so that we can “GO, in the name of Jesus”.  We learn to put Christ at the center of our lives.  The purpose of…

Journey to Jesus – Pt5

How we live is the gospel – churches that love one another are strong. The commands of Jesus are to…

Faith in God – Blessed to be a blessing. (Abraham) God taught Abraham to trust.  Trust God, God will see you through. If God is for…

Fruit of the Spirit – Peace

Warren spoke on PEACE as our next Fruits of the Spirit.  He spoke that Peace is about the presence of God, not the absence of strife (in God’s hands you are safe).  There were 5 points he made: The presence of God changes us – God is over us. God has every detail of my life in His hands.  Comfort brings strength. God is creator and father, and this brigs peace. – We all get troubles and trails, but the presence…
