Belong, believe and behave

Ps Andre brought a baptism service message Belong, believe & behave. We are all on a journey.  Baptism is the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.   We are all on a journey of faith.  Christianity is about Love, Grace Acceptance and Forgiveness.  It is Freedom. One Way to Jesus, of which could be entered via 3 doors. Door 1 – Intellectual or theological understanding, or an innate ‘unfounded’ faith in God.  BELIEF Reading the bible where it just makes sense. …

Amongst Giants – Pt5

This week Lyndon spoke part five in the series Amongst Giants. Joshua – Facing our Fear (Giant slayers) Joshua took over from Moses, he took the Israelites into the promised land. Numbers 13:17-20 tells of the Israelites failure to enter the promised land.…

Amongst Giants – Pt4

This week Warren Hodge spoke part four in the series Amongst Giants. Moses – A giant of a leader. Moses faced 3 giants in his life to become a giant of a leader. Pharaoh Moses himself The people he lead 1. Egypt the all powerful enemy Oppression is never fair. If you are in power and you abuse that power you lose your spiritual authority. Amongst Giants – Pt3

This week Rob McArthur spoke the third part in the series Amongst Giants. Apostle Paul A sermon is a word of grace to a hurting world by a broken heart. Paul fought for freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of belief. That, that Jesus died for. The gospel is inclusive. Bad stuff happens to good people. Amongst Giants – Pt2

This week Ps Andre spoke the second part in the series Amongst Giants. Giants of Faith – Nehemiah and the wall. Gal 5:1 – It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. What can you step up to the plate for? Opposition is opportunities for God. We…

Amongst Giants – Pt1

This week Ps Andre spoke about Amongst Giants. A giant is either a massive issue in our lives or they can be something in the darkness that we are unaware of and a giant causes a blockage. We, ourselves, need to become giants of faith and love, walking amongst our community. But to do so, we have got to be truly free. Galatians 5:1 says, It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do…

Designed for Destiny

This week Ps Andre spoke about Designed for Destiny. God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Moses killed someone, but that did not stop his destiny. David made mistakes while he was doing God’s work. God doesn’t make mistakes – You are where you are and who you are for a reason. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10 You…

Walk in the Light

This week Warren spoke about Walk in the Light. 1 John 1:7, But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. The light of God is about the presence of God in our life right now. Walking in the light means there is nothing we can’t talk to God about. When facing all life’s challenges – be it…

Let your setbacks become your comebacks

This week Lyndon spoke about Letting your setbacks become your comebacks. In Mark 14:54 After Jesus was arrested, Peter is said to be following Jesus at a distance.  A dangerous place to be.  Till this point Peter was right there with Jesus.  He was one of the 3 Jesus spent time with.  He was called the Rock and yet here we find him following at a distance.  The place of comfort to be with Jesus became uncomfortable.  We are however, needing to be…
